Supporting Marginalized Identities
As a black woman, I understand the complexity of holding intersecting identities and the tension of being both visible and invisible in different spaces. These lived experiences shape how I approach healing and liberation—with empathy, nuance, and a deep commitment to working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and others who walk alternative paths or face systemic marginalization. I welcome all aspects of your identity—whether related to race, gender, culture, beliefs, body, profession, or background—into the therapeutic space.
Through Liberation Healing, I offer an anti-oppressive, decolonial approach that helps you reconnect with your inherent power, confidence, and sense of self.
The path of reclaiming your truth can stir discomfort at first, but over time, this discomfort softens into clarity and empowerment. Together, we work to untangle internalized oppression and support you in living more fully and freely in alignment with your authentic self.
Childhood Trauma
Many of our core wounds and false beliefs stem from childhood. Even with a relatively good upbringing, early experiences—at home, in school, or in relationships—can leave lasting imprints. I help clients reconnect with their inner child and heal the beliefs that continue to shape their adult lives.
Core false beliefs often live beneath the surface, quietly shaping our behaviors and relationships. These may sound like “I’m not good enough,” “I’m unlovable,” or “I’m too much.” Inner child work helps us access and tend to the younger parts of ourselves that carry these beliefs—offering the care, protection, and compassion they didn’t receive. Through this process, we learn to “reparent” ourselves, allowing our adult self to lead with awareness, love, and presence.
Addiction
I take a client-centered, collaborative, and harm-reduction approach to addiction recovery therapy. By integrating various therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and other trauma-informed approaches, I work with clients to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their goals—whether those involve abstinence or harm reduction.
Harm reduction is a practical, non-judgmental approach that focuses on minimizing the negative consequences of substance use, rather than demanding complete abstinence right away. As a harm reduction therapist, I help clients develop strategies to reduce the risks associated with substance use. This can include creating a consumption reduction plan or designing a safer usage strategy that supports the client’s journey toward healthier choices.
Spiritual & Existential Healing
Spiritual therapy weaves together psychological, existential, and spiritual threads of healing. Many people come to therapy in the midst of spiritual or existential crises—feeling disconnected, searching for purpose, or grappling with questions about life, death, and what lies beyond the material world. I offer a space where these questions can be explored with curiosity and compassion, integrating spiritual inquiry with clinical therapeutic work.
Whether it’s processing profound mystical experiences, working through a loss of faith, or deepening a sense of connection to something greater, I help individuals navigate these transitions and integrate them into a cohesive sense of self.
I encourage my clients to connect with their inner wisdom, intuition, and personal understanding of the divine—whatever that may mean for them. You don’t need a specific belief system to engage in this work—just a desire to live with greater authenticity, presence, and purpose.
